I recently bought this ‘Lift-Me Day Cream‘ from Paris skincare brand Langé in TK Maxx for £16.99. On the Langé website it’s priced at $112! Obviously the price doesn’t actually mean that the product is going to be good, however, I have tried this for the past couple of weeks (on its own and as a make-up base) and can’t fault it! It smells amazing, it’s super moisturising and makes my skin feel silky smooth! I don’t know how good it is at reducing signs of ageing because I have quite young skin but it definitely made me look more awake in the morning and brightened up my skin. I would say however that I don’t think it is worth the full price on their website, I think there are so many affordable moisturisers which are probably equally as good. If you want to try it, I have linked it from TK Maxx here.
I literally swear by the Garnier Micellar Cleansing Water. My skin gets agitated every time I use makeup wipes – it goes bright red and stings like crazy! Makeup wipes never seem to fully remove my makeup whereas this cleansing water removes every last inch. After I started using this I found that the amount of spots I got reduced so much too, even my boyfriend likes to use it every now and then.
These are probably the best purchases I have ever made. My skin was breaking out constantly whilst I was in secondary school until I discovered the Clinique Sonic System Purifying Cleansing Brush and Liquid Facial Soap. I use the mild facial soap which is for dry combination skin as I usually have an oily T zone but it also comes in extra mild and oily. I paid £79 for the brush and £10 for the soap however there is a skincare gift set with the brush, soap and bag for £79! Click here to find the offer on the John Lewis website.
These are my skincare newbies! I am still trying them out but so far so good! I am using the Magnesium Ascorbyl Phosphate Solution 10% (£8.00) today which I applied in the morning and will apply again before I go to sleep. This creamy product targets dullness, uneven skin tone and signs of age. The Lactic Acid 5% + HA 2% (£5.00) is a mild superficial peeling formulation which aims to improve uneven skin tone, textural irregularities and fine lines. After reading The Ordinary ‘about’ page I was certain that I needed to try these products so I’m intrigued to see if these products improve the appearance of my skin or not. Shampoo and Conditioner:
Last but not least, the Herbal Essences Daily Detox Shine shampoo and conditioner. These products keep my hair soft, frizz-free and squeaky clean! I have recommended it to most of my friends and anyone who has asked because I love it so much. The white tea & mint fragrance makes my hair smell so fresh, I can’t get enough of it! I have struggled to find it in supermarkets but it is almost always in Boots or Superdrug. Another top tip which I find stops my hair from going greasy easily is blow drying it straight after I have washed it.
