California in 10 Days

This summer me and my best friend travelled around sunny California for 10 days. Read this post to see what we got up to!

I literally had the time of my life this summer in California and although it was a few months ago, I really want to share what I got up to!

First Stop: San Francisco (Axiom Hotel, 3 nights)

Day 1 – Exploring near our hotel

Day 2 – Breakfast at Plow (best brunch EVER), China Town, Lombard Street, Pier 39, boat tour around Alcatraz Island & Golden Gate Bridge

Day 3 – Alamo Square, Golden Gate Park, Japanese Tea Garden, bike ride, dinner by pier 39

Fly to LA

Second Stop: Downtown LA (Freehand Los Angeles Hostel, 2 nights)

Day 4 – Dinner at Faith & Flower

Day 5 – Breakfast at Eggslut (also AMAZING, especially the fresh orange juice), the Broad museum, Griffith Observatory, Zinc Cafe for dinner (really nice outdoor dining area and great pizza).

Third Stop: West Hollywood (Lowes Hotel, 2 nights)

Day 6 – Wellness bowl at Milk and Honey, tour bus (really good for seeing everything in one day and not having to pay for Uber’s everywhere!), lunch at the Cabana Cafe in the Beverly Hills hotel (one to tick off the bucket list!), walk down Rodeo Drive

Day 7 – Universal Studios / best day of my life.

Fourth Stop: Santa Monica (Huntley Hotel, 2 nights)

Day 8 – Walked along the Santa Monica pier, Mexican for dinner at Blue Plate Taco

Day 9 – Venice beach, dinner at our hotel

Day 10 – Bike ride along Santa Monica & fly home

What did I love?

  • Universal studios
  • Beverly Hills
  • Huntley hotel
  • Faith & Flower restaurant
  • Milk and Honey (wellness bowls in West Hollywood)
  • Eggslut

What would I do differently next time?

  • Stay longer in West Hollywood
  • Not stay in downtown LA, just get a taxi
  • Rent a car in LA
  • Stay in a hotel in Santa Monica with a pool
  • Hike to the Hollywood sign
  • Go to a basketball game
  • Book the prison in advance

I hope this post gives you some ideas of what you can do in a quick trip around California! I highly reccomend everything listed above, there isn’t a single thing I would change about this trip. Thank you for reading!
